Mi Cerveza' started as a simple design using just a few colors; blue, orange, and black and white back in 2012. I was all about simple designs back then, when I used to sell my work on eBay. I deliberately wanted to create something small, and with little detail; something to sell fast. Little did I know, that this little painting would sell again and again in prints. I always wanted to create a more elaborate painting of this concept. I was recently asked from a visitor to the fine art america website for a very large version of my 2012 mi cerveza. I had long ago sold the original, and I was unable to fill the request, since at the time, I did not have the proper equipment to photograph it and didn't have any good photos to be able to enlarge it. So, with this request , I decided to just recreate this idea. It's cool to see my progression over the years. Needless to say, I enjoy a good ,d raft beer! I'm sure many do!
Heather Calderón is a self taught artist, wife and mother of two, currently working and running her own art business celebrating skeletons as her main subject.
