It can make a person feel small; But if you look at it a different way; if you do all these activities with love, then you really are contributing to the greater good; the Whole. All of our daily actions can be done with significance if we remember to Love as we do them. The small activities have their place right along side the more grand activities we might perform like winning an award, writing music, making art, saving lives, helping someone. They're all part of the entire living/unfolding process and all beautiful! I have to remember this for myself, when I get discouraged because life is too busy to have time to create.
